It is celebrated in every April when the sun moves from Pisces to Aries.  💥 During this time, families prepare traditional food such as milk rice, 🍚sweets, kokis, aluwa....and share them with neighbors and friends👥. People light the hearth, cook the first meal and start new activities at the auspicious times.  In the same way, children enjoy playing traditional games with elders😇 . People  visit relatives, exchange gifts and strengthen family bonds. During this season💘, New Year festivals are organized  in every city.  Everyone has the chance to take part , no matter their age or ethnicity.💕 The meaning of this festival is simply to spread peace and joy. This is a festival that makes people forget any sorrows in their hearts💕...

  😍THE ART OF SRI LANKAN DRUM MAKING😍 ...........The art of drumming in my country, with its great history is very important.  It has lasted from the past to the present with different changes. When talking about drumming in Sri Lanka, an important part is making the drums. They are mostly made using types of wood. For example, the traditional drums of Sri Lanka are made from different types  of wood.  Among the types of wood used for making drums are j ackwood, kitul wood, and coconut wood...... Among them are drums such as the Geta Bera, Yak Bera, Davula, and Thammattama.  Another special part of drum making is using different animal skins to make sound. Animal skins such as cow, goat, and monkey are commonly used for this. These traditional drums are popular in Sri Lanka’s dance and music.  This amazing art is another symbol of our country’s identity......... ❤❤❤
